Upcoming railway engineering work – Railway Renewal at Yeovil Pen Mill station

Railway engineers will be carrying out essential track renewals by Yeovil Pen Mill station. Teams will be replacing the rails that trains run on to keep services running reliably.

The work will take place on the following dates and times:

22:00pm Friday 16th January 2026 to 05:05am Monday 19th January 2026

22:00pm Friday 23rd January 2026 to 05:05am Monday 26th January 2026

To ensure our engineers can safely complete these works, buses will replace trains from Castle Cary and Weymouth. GWR services will still operate between Castle Cary and Bristol Temple Meads. South Western Railway trains will still operate at Weymouth, Upwey and Dorchester South.
